Whakaari International's processing plant is situated on the outskirts of Whakatane, being a five minute drive from the airport, and five minutes to the Central Business Area and Fishing Port.
The honey processing equipment has been purpose built and assembled to meet Good Manufacturing Practices, which allows Whakaari International to ensure that the highest quality natural honey products, meets the customer's specification.
The honey processing plant has been designed to process creamed honey as well as liquid honey.
Whakaari International has a registered NZFSA Risk Management Programme for all its honey processing and storage. The RMP also encompasses a fully traceable system from the bee hives to the customer.
Our RMP is audited by a contracted Independent External Verifier, being Assure Quality.
Contract honey bottling
Whakaari International can offer contract processing and bottling of a range of honeys to suit your requirements. We can supply, process and bottle the honey, or you can supply your honey for processing and bottling.
For contract packing, Whakarri International can provide either creamed honey or liquid honey, bottled on PET jars, and we are currently developing our plant for bottling into glass jars.
We can apply your label to the jars prior to delivery.
