Les Stowell
Les Stowell is the managing director of Whakaari International and is descended from the Mataatua and Te Arawa Confederation of tribes.
He and his wife Helen have lived for many years in the Waihau Bay area where they entertain many friends, overseas guests and customers at their home on the rocky shore of the Bay.
Les's many years spent in trading in Fresh Produce to the Japanese market has prepared him for the role of marketing Whakaari International products. He has successfully built up a range of international markets and is continuing to build on these successes.
When not working on building the manuka honey business and travelling to international markets Les can be found hunting and fishing in his favourite spots.
